FOOTBALL – The fourth Drenthe champion in amateur football is known. MSC from Meppel can no longer be found in the 5th division G. The Meppelers easily won against SVBS’77 themselves and were told afterwards that the last remaining competitor, Nagele, went down against Steenwijker Boys.
As a result, with one game left to play, the gap is now six points. And so MSC is the fourth champion from Drenthe, after Wacker, HODO and Titan.
In the 2nd class J, DZOH was also able to take the title, but that did not work (yet). On a visit to closest competitor Gorecht, the first defeat was suffered by the club from Emmen: 4-3. DZOH now has to win next week, at home against SC Elim, to take the championship.
In the fifth class F, NWVV can still hope for the championship. The formation of trainer Johan Hollen is two points below leader Scheemda, but that team has to visit number 3 Seta next week.
Borger can forget the title in the 4th class D. WVV made no mistake on the penultimate match day and won big (6-0) against SCN. The club from Winschoten has three points (and a significantly better goal difference) than the green-whites with one game to play.
ONR is also eliminated in the title race. In the 4th class C, the formation from Roden did not go further than a 2-2 draw against De Heracliden. As a result, the gap with leader and champion Niekerk has grown to four points.
