Entrepreneur and restaurateur Tomi Björck says on social media that the Japanese Sanchome restaurant is permanently closed starting this Wednesday.
Sanchome, located next to the hotel’s Kämp, opened in May of last year, so it didn’t even have time to be open for a year. Reasons for stopping are, among other things, the unpredictable sharp rise in the prices of raw materials and fixed costs.
In addition, the drastic weakening of purchasing power at the beginning of the year caused a situation where business operations could not be made profitable despite the efforts.
– The company itself has made the decision to stop operations as soon as possible, Björck writes on his Instagram account.
Iltalehti asked him for a comment, but Björck simply stated that this was a reasonable decision.
Among others, Akseli Herlevi and Hans Välimäki have commented on the Instagram update.
– Sorry to hear, but good companies also make difficult decisions! From now on, Herlevi encourages.
– It was sad and sad to hear and read. Anyway, up and on! Välimäki has a blast.
