Responsible Young Drivers brought almost 250 partygoers home in Flanders

The 40 volunteers were ready from midnight to 6 a.m. and had 15 vehicles at their disposal. A total of 90 cars were safely brought home, good for almost 250 revelers.

Two RYD volunteers are on site at each call: one volunteer gets behind the wheel of the partygoers’ car and the other follows in a Responsible Young Drivers car. The Responsible Young Drivers have been describing their New Year’s campaign as an “emergency solution” for years. “We want to give everyone the opportunity to start the new year in a safe way,” it sounded.
