Resolutions fashion professionals make for 2022

For many, the new year began under a different sign than hoped for. The coronavirus still has a firm grip on the fashion world, shops in many places can only be entered according to regulations and many trade fairs have been canceled. Five people from different branches of the fashion industry have withdrawn and shared their resolutions for 2022 with us.

“In 2022 there will be some exciting opportunities but also challenges: Regulation will continue to drive the sustainable transformation of the industry, digitization and the integration of innovative technologies will act as drivers to support the recovery in the industry.”

“With Sqetch we will be part of this development through a large number of cooperations and initiatives, because only together can we ensure that fashion makes a strong contribution to cultural, economic and ecological change. Therefore I will take more time for mentoring and teaching next year. I look forward to personal encounters with inspiring people and to learning a lot again and sharing what I have learned. “

“I try to keep my finger on the pulse and as networked as possible. We are all competitors, but the exchange with industry experts is more important than ever. That is my greatest requirement of myself, because then you develop forward. “

“As in 2021, the coming year will also bring many challenges for the fashion industry. It is all the more important that companies work closely together to find solutions. ”

“For us at Retraced, the goal of entering into and consolidating partnerships is the most important resolution for 2022. We are already looking forward to the new year and have decided not to let the current situation get us down, but rather positively and motivates to start the new year. ”

One of the topics that nobody can escape from is sustainability. How the fashion industry approaches the issue is of course super difficult because the industry is really only concerned with how to sell more. It is precisely this excess sale that is the basic problem with this issue. Since now to make really big progress in terms of materials, but also fundamentally in terms of dealing with fashion. ”

“What does it mean to be a fashion fan in 2022, but in a way that doesn’t harm our planet? That is one of the most important questions that everyone has to answer. We hope to be able to make a bigger contribution. “
