Residents of Lootuinen Coevorden will receive 50,000 euros for neighborhood improvement

Residents of the Lootuinen district in Coevorden will receive 50,000 euros from the municipality of Coevorden to improve the district. It is a pilot of the municipality and if it succeeds, it will be examined whether investments can also be made in this way in other districts and villages of the municipality.

Citizen budget Lootuinen is called the pilot and, according to alderman Steven Stegen, it gives residents the opportunity to do more than just put forward an idea. The residents are free to decide where they spend their money to improve the neighbourhood.

Residents of the neighborhood receive support from the municipality and Power of the Veenkoloniën to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
