A fire broke out at a house in Roden around midnight after an explosion. These are probably heavy fireworks, the police say. Bystanders saw a group of young people running away after the explosion.
Residents of the house on Schultelaan were able to extinguish the fire themselves. Their house has been damaged. A witness reports that the windows, among other things, were shattered.
It is unclear why the perpetrator or perpetrators struck at this address. It is also not known whether fireworks or another type of explosive was used.
Officers conducted investigations around the house during the night. The fire brigade was also alerted, but was able to return to the barracks after a while.
As far as we know, no one was injured.
