Israel has called up 300,000 reservists in what is the country’s largest-ever mobilization following Hamas’s surprise attack on the country. The army reports that at least five hundred attacks were carried out on positions of Hamas and Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip during the night from Sunday to Monday. In total, more than 700 Israelis and more than 400 Palestinians have now been killed. According to news site ‘Al Jazeera’, more than 100,000 Israeli soldiers are currently gathering at the border with the Palestinian territories in anticipation of a possible ground offensive.
