When something ends up on the web, it’s hard to get out of there. This is why it is worth considering once before publishing content to different services, and especially if the content is publicly available.
Sometimes, however, there are situations where content has ended up on the web without its own activities. In these cases, the content can reach people through Google search. Now, Google has eased the burden on people to report hidden information in search results.
The form allows people to now ask Google to remove personal information that spreads from them on Google’s search engine. This information includes, for example, a telephone number, e-mail address, home address, or other sensitive information that may be used to log in to and hijack various services. In addition, Google protects against docking, that is, sharing people’s personal information with the public without their knowledge.
“Google may remove personally identifiable information that could pose a significant risk of identity theft, financial fraud, harmful direct contact, or other harm,” Google’s support website states.
The removal request can be made directly Through Google’s pages. More information is available On the Google Help page.
Google may request more detailed information, such as screenshots of the case, in order to process the matter. The request is affected, for example, by the content of the authority, new content or content relevant to the professions. In such cases, Google “generally seeks to maintain access to the information if the content is determined to be of public interest”.
If the content is removed from Google’s search engine, you will no longer receive a site that was previously associated with your name. However, the content itself is not removed from the original source, so to get the information out completely, you should contact the site administrator if possible.
