Republican on Capitol storming committee: Trump may have tried to influence witness

Former President Donald Trump recently attempted to contact an unnamed witness who appeared before the House of Representatives committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot. The commission has referred Trump’s possible attempt to influence a witness, which is unlawful, to the Justice Department. That said the Republican vice chairman of the panel, Liz Cheney, on Tuesday.
