According to media reports, the German Football Association has agreed with Nagelsmann about a commitment until after the home European Championships in 2024. However, a contract has not yet been signed and details are still being negotiated.

The 35-year-old Wagner was most recently assistant coach to short-term head coach Rudi Völler together with Hannes Wolf in the German national team’s 2-1 win against France. He is part of Wolf’s competence team, who is the new director of youth, training and development at the DFB.

Wagner once played in the Bundesliga under Nagelsmann at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 37-year-old Glück was a video analyst for the Kraichgauers and later also Nagelsmann’s assistant at RB Leipzig and FC Bayern Munich, where he had to leave together with the 36-year-old in March.
