Reports against youth trainer HFC in Haarlem after asking for nude photos via Snapchat

A youth coach of football club Koninklijke HFC in Haarlem has been suspended after several reports have been received by the club about ‘digitally transgressive behaviour’. The trainer would have asked minors to send nude photos of themselves via Snapchat. The club confirms this in a statement after reporting from RTL News.

The case has been going on for some time: according to the club, they received a first report on March 31 from another club where this trainer was also active that there was cross-border behavior. According to the club, the youth trainer was immediately suspended.

According to RTL News, the youth trainer was arrested on June 7 following two reports. He has since been released, but remains a suspect. In addition to these two reports, according to the club, there are two separate reports at the Institute for Sports Justice, bringing the total number of reports to four.

Meeting for parents

RTL Nieuws also writes that a meeting for parents was organized that attracted great interest. The GGD and the police were also present.

The club further states that it has no reason to suspect that the cross-border behavior also took place ‘offline’, i.e. physically. Pending the investigation, the trainer has been banned from the HFC complex, and is also not allowed to undertake trainer activities from the KNVB.
