“Shall I draw a family tree? I may forget someone, there are quite a few of us.” Victoria Delforge (26) soon finds no room for all the names she wants to jot down on her piece of paper, while the staff behind her serves smoutebollen to the first visitors. With about 18 stalls, her aunts, uncles, cousins are here at the Sinksenfoor in Antwerp, which started this weekend. About eight are smoutebollen stalls, but also children’s attractions and amusement parks bear the name Delforge, sometimes accompanied by another well-known surname in the fair world, such as Dotremont or Hotye.
