With 30 degrees on the beach, a mass of day tourists went to sea on Saturday. There was a warning in advance for the spring tide, around four o’clock, but fortunately that did not cause any problems. Two years ago, that combination was the reason for fierce fights in Blankenberge, this time it remained calm. “We were prepared for this,” says bailiff Eline Heyze.
