Several credit products of iconic TV characters are still sold. Reporter Ida Erämää tested Frendi Rachel’s lipstick.
American actress Jennifer Aniston became known to the whole world with his five colleagues Friendsfrom the series that aired in 1994–2004. With the resurgence of ’90s fashion, Aniston’s role as Rachel Green is still a style icon for many, whose style is imitated still close 30 years later.
Rachel’s style is also imitated by the undersigned, so I found out where Aniston’s Friends-looks’ top lipstick comes from.
Aniston revealed in 2017 Glamourin an interview with the magazine, that for years she wore Mac lipstick on Frendi’s shoots. The editor of the magazine told Aniston that many of her ysäri looks were making a comeback.
– How about Mac’s lipstick in the shade Paramount? It was kind of brick brown in color. I remember it was just my credit tone when we were filming FriendsAniston told the magazine.
Mac’s lipsticks are also very popular in Finland in 2024, and since the shade in question is still sold, of course I went to get it.
On the Mac website, Paramount is recommended as one of the best nude shades for dark skin. On pale skin, the shade of lipstick is more dominant.

Based on product images the shade looks great both as a nude or highlighting shade on darker skin tones and as a statement shade on light skin. The dark brown tones are at the core of ysäri, so the product will remain in use for me as well.
Also Aniston’s colleague, who played Monica Geller Courtney Cox relied on Mac’s lipstick during the filming of the series. He often wore a dark red shade by name Spice it up. Aniston used Friends sometimes also a lighter shade called Touch, but the production of that shade has since been discontinued.
In the picture on the right, Iltalehti’s editor Ida Erämaa is wearing the same lipstick that Jennifer Aniston often used on the set of the Frendit series. Aniston’s photos were selected based on where she is most likely to be wearing the same lipstick. Erämaa’s skin is lighter than Aniston’s, so the lipstick looks much darker on her. On me, Mac’s Paramount shade looks very dark, as my skin, pampered by the winter months, is very fair at the moment. The pigment of my lips is naturally quite strong purple, so lipsticks often turn more rose than brick red on me.
Aniston used Frendi’s makeup artist By Robin Siegel with Paramount, Mac’s nude brown lip liner in the shade Spice. I’m trying the shade Paramount with a brown lip liner and layering it with Mac’s condition brown Kinkster. The end result is now a little closer to what Aniston looks like when she wears the Paramount shade.

Euphoric Maddie
HBO’s mega hit Euphoriaseries is known for its spectacular make-up. Make-up artist of the series Doniella Davy conjured up more wonderful make-ups for the stars of the series, where no glitter or colors were spared.
Alexa Demien The Maddy character is especially known for her strong cat lines. The make-up artist of the series told For an InStyle publication in 2022, that relied on Inglot’s black contouring gel for Maddy’s makeup, which is applied with a brush. The product is available in e.g. online stores.
Sabrina, teenagers
A series that became popular at the turn of the millennium Sabrina, Teens told about the preoccupations of the teenage Sabrina in the field of witchcraft. The series was based on the cartoon of the same name.
Played Sabrina Melissa Joan Hart became hugely famous with the series. According to TheList publication combined by the make-up team of the series Hart’s lip makeup includes Nars lip liner, lip gloss and Smith’s Rosebud Salve lip balm, the latter of which is still available in Finland.
Scandal’s Olivia Pope

American Kerry Washington starring in the popular Scandalin the series Olivia Pope, the president’s former media consultant. In the series, Pope establishes his own crisis management company to protect the public image of the elite. The series is a political drama thriller.
According to TheList publication, the beautiful Washington has relied on a Clinique lip gloss stick in the shade Whole Lotta Honey. The shade is a natural reddish red. Clinique’s products are widely sold in Finland both online and in cosmetics stores.
Single life, Carrie and Samantha

TheListpublication has also tracked down the credit products of the stars of the popular Sinkuelämää series. Make-up artist Judy Chin says that Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie character’s make-up base used, among other things, ua Laura Mercier concealer duo and from TheBalm brand tinted moisturizer.
