Ivorian right-back
According to information from “L’Equipe“before the second arrival of this winter: Koffi Kouao is said to be from FC Metz, 15th in the table. Ligue 1 to table 14th. the 2nd Bundesliga. The French sports newspaper writes that the 25-year-old right-back, who achieved promotion to Ligue 1 as a regular with Metz in the 2022/23 season, will sign with the “Knappen”.

This season, the Ivorian played regularly on the first eight matchdays, but only sparingly after that – he watched the last four league games from the bench or the stands. Metz brought Kouao from the Portuguese club Vizela in the summer of 2022 for 600,000 euros and gave him a contract that runs until 2026.
If the deal goes through, Kouau would be the second new signing after left winger Darko Churlinov (23, Burnley) and also the next player with a market value of 2 million euros.
