Paris Saint-Germain are interested in another Serie A player in addition to signing Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar (27). Sassuolo demanded a transfer fee of 50 million euros for the centre-forward, who was taken from the PSV Eindhoven youth team for 500,000 euros in 2017. That sum would make Scamacca, who extended to 2026 just three months ago, the club’s new record sale. Scamacca made his breakthrough in Serie A in the 2021/22 season, where he scored 16 goals and made his debut for the Italian national team. He could support Kylian Mbappé (23) and loan returnee Arnaud Kalimuendo (20) in the center of the Parisian attack – Mauro Icardi (29), for whom PSG transferred €50m to Inter Milan, is considered a candidate for sale.
Should the Parisians and Sassuolo reach an agreement, transfer spending would soar to well over €100m this summer after Nuno Mendes (20) was signed firmly from Sporting Lisbon for €38m and Vitinha (22) for €41.5 million euros came from FC Porto.
