Report: Ducksch with an exit clause in the Werder contract – rumors about Union Berlin

Best scorer in the 2nd division

Marvin Ducksch is the top scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Werder Bremen striker has already scored 15 goals (one of them for Hannover 96) and collected nine assists – leaving St. Pauli’s Guido Burgstaller (32) and Schalke’s Simon Terodde (34) behind. Especially under coach Ole Werner, who has been in charge of the Green-Whites since the end of November and scored an average of 2.8 points, the 28-year-old increased his goals and assists rate enormously.

These performances apparently make the right foot interesting for clubs from home and abroad. The portal “dyke room“Names Union Berlin, PAOK Thessaloniki and FC Granada as interested parties. According to the report, the Dortmund native, who has signed a contract with Werder until 2024, could leave the Hanseatic League in the summer with an exit clause. This should amount to 5.5 million euros – and would thus be the highest sum that has been paid for Ducksch so far. The Bremen team took him from Hannover 96 in the summer of 2021 for 3.5 million euros.

Werner is not surprised that the attacker is attracting interest from other clubs. “When you play a good season, it’s clear that rumors keep popping up. And between us, it would also be a bad sign if there was never anything about a player from us. That would mean that we would sail through the league like a gray mouse,” explained the 33-year-old when asked about the speculation at a press conference.

A departure after only one year seems unlikely, because Ducksch recently had in an interview with the “imageThe newspaper emphasizes: “I have big goals with the club. If it doesn’t work out this year, then so be it. I didn’t sign for three years for nothing. If I had planned to leave in the summer, I would have signed for a year.”
