Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently bought the most expensive house in all of Portugal. The Portuguese superstar and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez have acquired the luxury property in the Cascais region, about 25 kilometers west of Lisbon, according to a report by “Marca”.
The value of the new villa is currently around 11 million euros. After the planned conversion, however, the price should be a proud 21 million euros.
The 37-year-old striker’s home while on duty at Manchester United is now under construction and is expected to be ready in the summer of 2023. It is therefore likely that both will soon move into their exclusive property in one of the most prestigious residential areas in Portugal, as reported by “Marca”. The children should also find a new home there.
For the money invested, the couple also gets a lot of space and luxury. The villa is 2720 square meters and has three floors. The constructed area is 544 square meters. The large outdoor area also includes gardens and a fabulous swimming pool. Ronaldo is also said to be building a garage that can accommodate up to 30 super-class sleds.
Is Ronaldo returning home?
The investment near Lisbon, where Ronaldo started professional football at Sporting, also feeds rumors: is the star striker returning to his old place of work? One thing is clear: After his cabin escape against Tottenham and the suspension, “CR7” faces an uncertain future at Manchester United. Recently there have been rumors of a return to Italy, with SSC Napoli being said to be very interested.
But a return to Sporting Lisbon is always an issue, most recently it was hotly debated in the summer. Sporting boss Ruben Amorim would like to see Ronaldo back at his club: “Everyone at Sporting dreams of Cristiano returning.” The change should only come about with a compromise, as the “Mirror” reports: United would have to pay part of the weekly salary of around 580,000 euros.
Is the purchase of the house now a sign that the change is approaching? Hard to say. At the moment it seems more likely that Ronaldo will move to Lisbon with his family once he has finished his career. But a lot can still happen before the next transfer window.
