The winter dive in Ostend has been a tradition for over 25 years and one that far exceeds the city limits. The participants came from all corners of Flanders to sprint towards the sea after warming up, feel the cold water for a moment and then quickly run to the jenever tent. We pulled our hood over our ears and gathered these reactions.
