It was only in the summer that Seko Fofana joined Al-Nassr FC for 25 million euros. Six months later, the 28-year-old central midfielder is moving on within the Saudi Pro League. As was reported on Tuesday evening, the Ivorian, who is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations, is on loan for Al-Ettifaq FC until the summer, where he will be coached by Steven Gerrard and will succeed Jordan Henderson.
With his current market value of 20 million euros and 32 million euros last July, Fofana is twice among the top signings in the Saudi Pro League. The central midfielder played 19 games for Al-Nassr this season, in which he was directly involved in three goals. Instead of playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané and Aymeric Laporte, his teammates are now called Moussa Dembélé or Georginio Wijnaldum.
