Renze Klamer with hands in her: viewing figures to a new low

Renze Klamer is undoubtedly with her hands in her hair. The ratings of his talk show RENZE drop to a new low and he ends up in the lowest position in the top 25 so far.

Renze Klamer’s daily talk show is not yet a resounding success on RTL 4. The very first episode, that of last Monday, is still the most watched episode with 682 thousand viewers. Since then, it has fluctuated between 550 and 650 thousand viewers every night. No flop, but no hit either; Op1 is doing much better.

Lowest Score

Renze set his lowest score so far last night: 520 thousand people (14 percent market share) watched his talk show RENZE. This puts him in twentieth place in the daily viewing figures overview and that is also the lowest rating to date.

Competitor Op1, on the other hand, is in seventh place. That talk show continues to set solid figures with a score of 723 thousand viewers (23 percent) this time.

Tina analyzes

How does viewing figures professor Tina Nijkamp view Renze’s scores? “Renze scores lower than Monday, but also Tuesday last week. 520 thousand viewers. Last week 100 thousand viewers more,” she writes Instagram

It seems that RENZE is becoming a bit more superficial, according to Tina. “The choice of subject was also slightly different. It contained two entertainment topics: a conversation with a new singing talent and a very long and extensive conversation with Britt Dekker about her new film. It was really just about the movie.”

Too light

RENZE is in danger of becoming too light, Tina thinks. “There was also a new column at the end of the broadcast: ‘The most remarkable thing that mankind has accomplished today’. We saw a video of someone diving into the water from a high point.”

She continues: “Hopefully Renze will not become another ‘summer’ talk show with too many ‘light’ topics. The setting outside doesn’t help either. Why don’t they just sit inside?”

Go inside

Does Renze have to go back inside? “What I find difficult about talk shows that create a setting outside in good weather for ‘the summer feeling’ is that not only do the current topics come across as slightly less relevant, but also that viewers may still think: why am I already watching TV inside? and am I not still sitting outside in the garden with this beautiful weather?”

She concludes: “I wonder if it will bring more viewers, rather less. Only at De Avondetappe does sitting outside have some sort of function; they follow the route.”

Viewing figures

The prime-time winners were De Slimste Mens (1.6 million), De Avondetappe (925 thousand), Kasteelvrouwe Emmy (757 thousand) and B&B Vol Liefde (716 thousand).

Other programs that did not make the top 15 include Nieuwsuur (522 thousand), 112 Today (462 thousand), URK (460 thousand), Shownieuws (453 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomer Edition (194 thousand).
