Renze Klamer has never aspired to a love affair with his former colleague Fidan Ekiz. He says he loves her very much. “But there’s never been any of that kind of tension.”
Until last year, they could be seen as a duo on the eve of NPO 1: Renze Klamer and Fidan Ekiz. Now he has his own talk show on RTL 4 and she is part of the talk show Op1. They are professionally divorced, but they still maintain close friendships.

Renze, however, does not aspire to conquer Fidan’s heart, he tells the Weekend. “I like her a lot, but don’t you often like people you wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with?”
It would feel very uncomfortable for the single Renze to be romantic with Fidan. “Fidan and I are more like family, I think. We love each other very much, but there has never been any of that kind of tension between us.”

In addition, of course, Fidan is no longer available. She has revived her love affair with Wierd Duk, with whom she has a son. “I don’t know if Fidan has confirmed that news about her love life herself, you’ll just have to ask them. But no, it could be nothing between us.”
Will Fidan visit his talk show RENZE soon? “I think she will definitely come by some day. We still like each other very much and speak regularly. If she’s not on vacation, you’ll definitely see her at my place.”

Isn’t Fidan jealous that he now has his own talk show, while she is in the straitjacket of Op1? “What did Fidan think of my switch? She immediately congratulated me, she was very happy for me. She gives it to me wholeheartedly.”
