Renze Klamer is slightly on the rise with his own talk show on RTL 4. Logical, thinks Marcel van Roosmalen. He thinks it’s a terrible program. “It’s a mockery!”
Renze Klamer’s talk show loses light. After the premiere episode watched by 682 thousand people (21 percent market share), the second episode of Renze attracted 633 thousand viewers (20 percent) to RTL 4 last night. “Renze will wake up happy again,” says viewing figures professor Tina Nijkamp.
Nicely tinkered
Tina notices that Renze is being tinkered with a lot. “The news fragments at the beginning of the program have disappeared. Immediately first topic. That was shorter now. 15 minutes instead of 22 minutes. The second topic is Renze’s ‘own agenda item’, just like Monday. This time he explains in an Arjen Lubach-like way how healthcare fraud works.”
This time Renze had both Ilse DeLange and Maxim Hartman at the table. “I missed questions about the Voice riot with Ilse. The reason why Maxim Hartman was there was not clear, and also not current. Riotous conversation with a lot of anger from Maxim.”
‘Modest!’
Where Angela de Jong is extremely enthusiastic about Renze (‘he could just become the best decision of Peter van der Vorst in years’), Marcel van Roosmalen is absolutely not satisfied as a viewer. “It was a mockery,” he grumbles in the podcast Weer Een Dag.
Renze just can’t do it according to Marcel. “You shouldn’t bake cakes if you don’t know the recipe.”
Colleague Gijs Groenteman: “I don’t have any feeling about it. He has a super nice voice, but I don’t know.”
Evening stage at #1
The Evening Stage was the big winner in prime time with 1.1 million viewers (24 percent) on NPO 1. Immediately before it, Castle Lady Emmy attracted a beautiful 996 thousand viewers (23 percent).
RTL 4 takes second place with a double episode of Voor the Same Money (654 thousand and 15 percent, 827 thousand and 18 percent). Furthermore, SBS 6′ Urk (572 thousand and 13 percent) and NPO 2’s Nieuwsuur (557 thousand and 13 percent) were the most popular.
Viewing figures
Programs that did not make the top 15 include Shownieuws (517 thousand), 112 Today (498 thousand), Chateau Meiland (363 thousand) and Shownieuws Zomer Edition (225 thousand).
