René van der Gijp has a British look-a-like in Spain. The gentleman in question was confronted with the similarities by none other than Kees van der Spek. “They seem really appealing!”
René van der Gijp’s appearance is quite characteristic. With his gray blades, black glasses and the gap between his teeth you recognize him from thousands. For a moment Kees van der Spek thought he saw the football analyst sitting on a Spanish terrace, but that turned out to be British Mr Nick, who lives there.
Look-a-like in Spain
Kees confronted Nick on the Spanish terrace with the famous Dutchman he looks quite like. The images are on his Instagram page (see below) and cause a lot of hilarity. “In Thailand they would say: same same, but different”, one Jorina screams.
And the stars of Shownieuws also think it’s funny. “It’s fun. That man really looks like René van der Gijp. We’re not just talking about the shape of his face and his glasses, but really just about everything”, says Story boss Guido den Aantrekker. “The only thing that is missing is the slit. Yes, serious!”
“Is this Carlo Boszhard?”
Guido thinks it’s funny that Kees has addressed the gentleman in question. “The man himself actually finds it very comical. It’s just René van der Gijp in Spain. I would almost think: it’s Carlo Boszhard again. This is just almost telling, isn’t it?”
His Shownieuws colleague Dyantha Brooks: “That smile too. He also has such a high-pitched smile!”
