Lately, Rutger Castricum has been a frequent guest in Johnny de Mol’s poorly viewed talk show. “I was watching and then that Rutger Castricum was also there,” says René van der Gijp in VI Today† “Everything is wrong with that, isn’t it? He has the wrong head, the wrong voice, the wrong tone and he is such an arrogant l*l dude, that guy.”

Arrogant

Johan Derksen interrupts for a moment. “René, may I say something in between? Coincidentally, I have an hour-long interview with him here on Monday. So go ahead!”

René: “No, I think… You know, imagine I’m having dinner somewhere in Spain and Zidane is sitting next to me and he would be a bit arrogant. I can imagine something with that. But what has this boy done?”

Özcan Akyol: “At PowNed he was a rebel, but now he is very neat.”

René: “Look, dude. Bah!”

Annoying withholding

VI Today, a fragment starts in which Rutger in HLF8 speaks with disdain about the performance of the Dutch skaters at the Olympic Games. “What a drama. It really just failed. It’s one miss after another. The only thing we could do in this country was skating and that is actually not possible anymore.”

Johan Derksen: “Yes, it is a very annoying attitude.”

Özcan: “I see what you mean. What does he base this attitude on?”

misfit

Johan: “He wants to stand out on TV, put something down, be an outsider.”

Özcan: “But he hasn’t been able to do that for five years now. Actually since Jeroen Pauw took care of him. He has been neutralized. Those reports in The Hague were still funny and people took him into account, but nothing is left of that. That has completely disappeared, but that arrogance has remained. That is remarkable, yes.”
