René van der Gijp feels sorry for ‘female’ Saskia Noort

René van der Gijp almost felt sorry for Saskia Noort when he recently saw her on television talking about his talk show Today Inside. “That woman was nervous, not herself,” he says.

Saskia Noort was in the Jinek season finale three weeks ago to talk about the candle scandal surrounding Today Inside. She put the program there as a kind of evil genius in the media landscape. “Partly because of these kinds of programs it is normal to call people whores. The juice channels also arise from this.”

“Then get off Twitter!”

According to Saskia herself, she also gets a lot of dung from online environments. It makes little impression on René van der Gijp. “What I don’t understand, huh? I don’t understand all this about Twitter. If you can’t stand it, then you get rid of it, right?” he responds in Today Inside.

René thinks that Saskia should not worry so much. “I was watching that Saskia Noort at Op1 (means Jinek, ed.) and I almost got to deal with her.”

nervous lady

It was uncomfortable television, according to René. “That woman was nervous, not herself, she was sitting there and also had to talk about us and then such a woman says, completely frozen in the camera: ‘Yes, I already know what I’m going to get tonight.’ That is probably on her phone call or on her computer or on… Then I think: well…”

Colleague Johan Derksen also thinks it is exaggerated. “I don’t do social media and I don’t feel like I’m missing anything in life and it all passes me by. All those people who are very active in my direction… It’s kind of nonsense what they’re doing because I don’t even see it.”

‘You’re looking’

Studio guest Merel van Ek indicates that she has the same as Saskia. “I think I now get a lot more reactions than usual, yes. I’m looking forward to looking on Twitter soon, yes.”

Wilfred Genee: “Then you’re not looking, are you? What Rene says.”

Merel: “No, that’s true, but you always go and have a look. There are also a lot of sweet comments and it is useful for journalists to follow the news.”
