René van der Gijp jumped out of his skin during his last meeting with the bobos of Talpa. According to his colleague Johan Derksen, there was even serious ‘raising of the voice’.

The last meeting between the men from Today Inside and the bobos from Talpa did not go well. René van der Gijp already revealed last week that John de Mol came up with a list of all the insults that were pronounced about him in VI, but more has happened.

Raise your voice

Wilfred Genee said yesterday in their program on SBS 6. “I saw you very angry with Marcootje recently. You were angry then, weren’t you?” he asks René, pointing to broadcaster Marco Louwerens.

Colleague Johan Derksen: “But René does have a good reason to be angry.”

Wilfred: “You didn’t throw things. You were just angry.”

Johan: “Voice raising.”

Wilfred: “Yes, and good lyrics.”

‘I was angry, yes’

René admits that there was anger. “I was angry, yes. That when we have a meeting, our program is always downgraded.”

Wilfred: “That was during the last negotiation.”

René: “It always is. That has been fourteen years, so too many old viewers are watching, we always get those kinds of texts.”

Wilfred: “Actually, it’s a shit show, that’s what it comes down to.”

René: “I then said: ‘So you’re telling me that our program has been costing money for fourteen years and is costing quite a lot of money and it is not profitable?’ ‘No that is right.'”

‘Doesn’t bring in anything’

Table guest Özcan Akyol: “Oh, he said the program is not working?”

René: “Yes, ‘it doesn’t yield anything’.”

Özcan: “Didn’t you ask, ‘Why are you going through with it?’”

René: “Of course I asked.”

Wilfred laughs: “It was out of a kind of mercy.”

René: “You don’t have to tell me that it’s a great program, but you can still say: ‘What a great program man. Nothing wrong with that, man.’”

social act

Johan sarcastic: “It is a social act by John de Mol, because he wants to get us off the street.”

Wilfred: “Yes, that’s what it comes down to.”

Johan: “Yes, and when we were off the air for ten days, John de Mol came back from vacation because it had cost him ten million.”

René: “I got a little angry then, because every time I talk I’m listening to someone who says that it’s really nothing at all.”
