René van der Gijp accidentally much too early at Today Inside

René van der Gijp arrived much too early in the Today Inside studio yesterday. He had accidentally forgotten the broadcast time of the program. “I thought it was half past eight.”

The men from VI normally always come into the studio as late as possible, because they want to save their conversation material for the broadcast. Wilfred Genee yesterday: “Nice, isn’t it: we’ve been on our way for about four months and then this program just gets into your system. Then you know exactly what time it starts.”

Mistaken

René van der Gijp then confesses with a laugh that he was in the studio much too early: “I was an hour early. Yes, no, of course I started here at half past eight for twelve years. At some point I sometimes forget myself. Not a big deal either.”

Wilfred: “But Johan just asked me: ‘But do we always start at half past eight with that other program?’”

René: “Yes, for twelve years at half past eight!”

Johan: “Yes, you are in a completely different rhythm.”

VI on two

Today Inside was the second most watched talk show of the evening yesterday with a score of 803 thousand viewers (17% market share) on SBS 6. Only De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach did better; 907 thousand people (21%). With that, NPO 1 took gold late in the evening.
