Renate Degryse (46) from Antwerp has traveled through a war zone in recent months to rescue her 24-year-old son Wessel De Winter after he became trapped in Ukraine when war broke out there. After a grueling search, Renate was able to embrace Wessel again on Mother’s Day, but the reunion turned out to be short-lived. Already on the way back to Belgium, the two got into an argument.
