Farmers block the access roads to the port of Ghent. As long as the government does not come up with concrete measures, they will continue.
“I have already done Zeebrugge, Antwerp, now Ghent,” says one of the activists. “I’m not giving up yet. What’s next? We’ll see what the government does today. There’s no such thing as a farmer who gives up.”
The farmers want to get rid of the many sometimes absurd rules. For example, there are strict dates about when they can sow or plant and harvest.
