In October last year, a man from Zoetermeer was arrested for a very remarkable action. He had placed Bluetooth speakers with baby crying in garbage cans. He did this twice in Zoetermeer and once in Rozenburg. The police were of course not happy with this ‘joke’, it took rescuers a lot of time. You can read the message here.

Why break into a bank, when you can also break into an oliebollen stall? In the week before Christmas in 2020, a 29-year-old man attempted to enter an oliebollen stall. A Zoetermeerder saw the burglary attempt, which took place at an oliebollen stall on the Parkdreef, near the Meeuwenveld. When the police arrived, the man ran. After a chase, he was arrested in a flat on the Vijverdreef. Read more here.

Suitcase

In the summer of 2017, the police tried to arrest someone at his home, but the suspect’s family indicated that they were not at home. One of the bedrooms was locked. Strange of course, so the police decided to take a closer look. Once in the room, the officers found it empty. No suspect. After some investigation, the police found the suspect. He had hidden himself by folding himself and lying in a suitcase. Ten points for creativity and flexibility. You can read the message here.
