In line with Women’s History Month, non-profit organization Remake has announced the new Remake Fellows Class of 2024, consisting of five fashion industry trailblazers: Cassandra Pintro, digital producer at Vogue, Niha Elety, fashion designer and founder of Tega Collective, Summer Dean, founder of Climate Diva, journalist Sophia Li and photographer and director Zoe Adlersberg.
During the year-long fellowship, Remake will train and educate the experts by deepening their understanding of the industry’s issues. They will also be equipped with the tools they need to create positive change from within through the influence they have in their respective areas.
The Remake Fellowship was launched with model and activist Cameron Russell last year. Fellows include models, casting directors, publicists and stylists, all chosen because they believe that “through collective action, we are all transforming the $2.5 trillion apparel industry and its biggest problems with practical solutions.” can connect”.
Last year’s 24 fellows include environmental activist Maya Penn, creative, stylist and publisher Francesca Burns, solar energy activist Grace Mahary, model Edie Campbell and sustainability expert Arizona Muse.
“This year’s cohort is comprised of image makers – models, stylists, editors, publicists, producers, agents and influencers – who play a unique role in making the future we want visible before it’s here , and when it comes to effecting change at the resource-intensive end of the supply chain. I am very grateful to the Remake community for inviting us to learn from and collaborate with one of the most inspiring movements for a fairer and more sustainable fashion industry,” Russell commented on the first group of fellows.
“We are excited and honored to work with such an amazing group of women and we believe that together we can create systemic change in the fashion industry from within,” added Remake CMO Katrina Caspelich.
Further information about current and former scholarship holders can be found on the Remake website, as well as the current “Fashion Accountability Report 2024”.
