On Tuesday, Finland announced its team for the World Ski Championships. It accelerates message speculation.
Cross mat Hakola aims for a 50 kilometer traditional race on the World Championship tracks. Iltalehti’s expert Reijo Jylhä believes that Hakola’s potential for the relay team will be closely watched in Planica.
Jylhä would raise the World Cup medalist to the post.
– The ideal team would be Hakola, Iivo Niskanen, Remi Lindholm and Perttu Hyvärinenhe outlines.

In the women’s relay, six skiers are fighting.
It is almost certain that the second part Jylhä would choose Kerttu Niskanen. The opening would be Johanna Matintalo or Anne Kyllönen hay.
Matintalo, who reached the World Cup podium this season, is still the number one choice, but the collapse in Toblach’s relay on Sunday raised questions.
– If Matintalo is in good shape and starts the relay, after Niskanen’s share, we will be in the lead according to all logic, Jylhä predicts.
– Kyllönen is an alternative for the opening leg if Johanna is not in good enough shape.
The third and fourth sections, which can be skied in freestyle, are more complicated questions.
You can ski as a third Krista Pärmäkoski, Eveliina Piippo or Jasmi Joensuu.
– If Piippo skis, he is third and Pärmäkoski is the anchor. If Eve doesn’t ski, Jasmi Joensuu and Krista Pärmäkoski can ski either way.
– There is no big difference in terms of results when the relay skis five kilometers, Jylhä refers to the Pärmäkoski–Joensuu speculation.
Two years ago in Oberstdorf, Finland won the World Cup bronze medal in the women’s relay. The Planica World Cup starts on February 22.
