Relatives want to sue Kayne West over theories about the cause of death

After Kanye West claimed that George Floyd died not as a result of police violence but from a fentanyl overdose, Floyd’s relatives are considering a false testimony lawsuit.

“George Floyd’s family are considering whether to respond to Kanye’s misrepresentation about the cause of death [George Floyd] want to sue,” Floyd’s family attorney wrote on Sunday (October 16) after an episode of the podcast “Drink Champs” featuring Kanye West went online the same day. In the more than three-hour interview, he said the following, among other things:

“They injected him with fentanyl. If you look closely, you can see the guy’s knee (Derek Chauvin) wasn’t even on his (George Floyds) Throat.”

Kanye West and Candace Owens

On the podcast, Kanye discusses Candace Owens’ documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM. There Kanye also reports on the fentanyl, a narcotic that George Floyd allegedly received.

Kanye West’s behavior is currently the subject of controversy. After being seen with Candace Owens in “WHITE LIVES MATTER” long-sleeves at the launch of the “YZY Season 9” collection, he was accused of racism. In addition, anti-Semitic failures of the rapper accumulated.

George Floyd

The assassination of George Floyd took place in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020. White police officer Derek Chauvin killed the 46-year-old man lying on the ground by kneeling on his neck for almost ten minutes and squeezing his breath despite numerous requests from Floyd and bystanders. Three other police officers did nothing, just watched. The killing sparked global protests and was picked up by the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
