The annoying concrete paving stones and concrete strips were removed and replaced with an asphalt layer. At the park, concrete tiles were softened and replaced by a gravel path. To better organize parking in the street, parking lanes were installed. Over the coming weeks, trees, shrubs and flower bulbs will be planted so that Rekkemsestraat becomes not only a safer, but also a green and more pleasant living environment.
