He became famous for his role in Good Times Bad Times and very rich from the sale of his company Eyeworks: Reinout Oerlemans. After that mega hit with his family, he withdrew to an astonishingly expensive villa in Los Angeles, although he still has a connection with the Netherlands. If only because of the at least 46 houses he owns here.

bare ass

Yet we hardly see Reinout in the Dutch media anymore. Four years ago, De Privé posted a photo of Reinout sitting on a boat with his bare buttocks, but that’s about it. Two years ago, at the start of the corona crisis, there was a media row about his new mustache.

The Oerlemannetjes barely survived the corona crisis. It was a difficult time for everyone, but especially for Reinout and his family. Due to restrictions, their staff was no longer allowed to come, forcing them to clean and cook for the first time in two decades.

Excessive luxury

Fortunately, they are now comfortable again: Reinout’s wife, Daniëlle, does not miss an opportunity on Instagram to boast of the lavish luxury in which they live. It is all so luxurious that it even makes Johan Derksen a little sick.

It didn’t matter much if Reinout hadn’t had all that luxury. “Do you know how much a 1 with 9 zeros is?”, John de Mol seems to have once asked him. “A 1 with 9 zeros is one billion. One billion euros that is. I have two of those. And I’m going to use them all to destroy you.”

First interview

Reinout is happy still standing and now for the first time in eight years, he’s making himself heard. He is in fact one of the guests in the new season of the interview show Evenblij makes Friends with presenter Frank Evenblij.

His editors proudly announce: “Evenblij strictly Reinout Oerlemans for his first interview in eight years. For the first time since the sale of his Eyeworks and his dramatic heart attack, Oerlemans allows cameras into his private life. And when he does something, he does it well.”

Fifty minutes

A whole program has been built around it. “In this 50-minute special, he shows everything: his home, his business, his life, his pride, his worries and his sorrows. And all his new friends, including none other than rap legend LL CooL J.”

Evenblij makes Vrienden can be seen every week from Friday 9 September at 9.25 pm at BNNVARA on NPO 1.
