The Dutch brand Reinhard Frans stands for handmade luxury shoes for men. Under the motto “The man, the shoe, the thought”, traditional craftsmanship meets innovation at Reinhard Frans. In order to counter mass consumption, the products are carefully manufactured with as little overproduction as possible.
A distinctive feature of the brand is hand patination, one of the most exclusive forms of manual aging of leather through the application of pigments and dyes. Reinhard Frans shoes are hand-colored in the label’s own studio. In addition to a large range of leather shoes, the brand also offers a selection of sneakers, belts and bags.

Reinhard Frans is a traditional Dutch family business, founded in 2008 by Reinhard Withaar and his sons out of a desire for high quality men’s shoes at affordable prices. After a lengthy period of development, the label opened its first flagship store in Apeldoorn in 2012.

More stores soon followed in the Netherlands. Reinhard Frans collections are designed and developed by the in-house production team and then manufactured in a factory in Bucharest by highly skilled shoemakers. According to the company’s website, the leather used comes from European tanneries. The brand now also offers a customization program that allows customers to create their own unique pair of handcrafted shoes. In addition to the style, the most suitable last, material and sole can also be individually selected here.
Current
Reinhard Frans shoes and accessories are now available in the brand’s own online shop and in ten flagship stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. In order to keep the supply chain particularly efficient, all activities from production to distribution are carried out internally and sold directly to the end customer exclusively in our own shops.
The company plans to expand further in the future, opening stores in Germany and the Middle East.
