The Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport today sent a new ministerial regulation to the House of Representatives. Measures have been laid down in this regulation, which can apply from Friday 18 February.

The Cabinet intends to give more space to society, among other things by extending closing times and raising the maximum number of people in public spaces such as theatres, cinemas and catering establishments.

The OMT will issue advice on these proposed measures on Friday 11 February. This can then lead to adjustments. Final decision-making will then take place within the cabinet on Tuesday morning. The minister has opted to send this regulation earlier, to ensure that the relaxations can take effect as soon as possible after this decision.
