Due to the high work pressure, absenteeism is rising, in some places it has already risen to 25 percent. The staff believe that their salary should be increased, so that the drivers can last longer and the profession becomes more attractive for young drivers.
New cities every day
The strikes will move between different cities throughout the Netherlands over the next twelve days. The cities in which the strikes will take place will be announced 48 hours in advance.
Not during final exams
During the strikes, the union will try to limit the inconvenience to travelers to some extent and the daily strikes are planned outside exam times.
Regional transport ceases May 31
On this day, the strikes will take place in the following cities:
- Lelystad
- Harderwijk
- Dronten
- Emmeloord
- black lock
- Den Bosch
Regional transport ceases on June 1
On June 1, the strikes will take place in:
- Oosterhout
- Breda
- Groningen
- Haaglanden
There will be a strike in The Hague and surroundings on Wednesday 2 June, the exact cities will be announced one day in advance.
So keep a close eye on whether the strikes are moving to your city or destination if you want to use regional transport!
