After the season is over
Regional league club Fortuna Köln announced on Thursday that coach Alexander Ende would be separated after the end of the 21/22 season. The club announced that it was not possible to agree on a continuation of the cooperation.
“We would like to thank Alexander Ende very much for his enormous commitment and the trusting cooperation over the past two years. He was largely responsible for establishing SC Fortuna in the top group of the Regionalliga West. Detached from the personal details of the trainer, the club will further develop its sporting structures and in particular strengthen the permeability from the youth academy to the first team. Further personnel decisions will be announced in the next few days,” the club said in a statement.
Cologne is currently in third place in the West Regional League behind Preußen Münster and RW Essen. The return to the third division “while guaranteeing financial solidity” remains the primary goal of those responsible.
