The reggaeton lovers of Tenerife woke up on the morning of this Thursday, July 28, with the news that the festival that would take place on Saturday the 30th in San Miguel de Abona he had been suspended “for safety”.
Just a few days before the celebration of the reggaeton beach festivalthe Town Hall of the municipality that would host the concert announced that it lacked authorization and therefore could not be held.
“To date, he does not have authorization & rdquor ;, was the phrase with which the Consistory responded to the question about the municipal refusal to give permission to hold said event. Sources from the municipal institution assured then that “the festival is suspended due to deficiencies detected both in the required documentation and in the mandatory action protocols” and that a decree signed by the mayor, Arturo González, dated July 26 (the last Tuesday) bases in the detail of 31 pages the reasons for the decision.
It is based on the lack of documentation that the organizers must present and on unfavorable technical reports from the urban spheres and, above all, from security.
However, this Thursday the organizers of the festival have posted on their account Instagram an official statement in which they assure, despite not yet having said permits, that the event scheduled for Saturday the 30th in Tenerife has not been cancelled, and therefore that it is still going on.
“At the moment we are working together with the City Council of San Miguel de Abona to guarantee its success”, they have affirmed through a story in the social network.
