In a game without tabular importance, the SSV Jahn Regensburg deserved a 2-2 (1: 2) draw on the 33rd matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga against the Karlsruher SC.
Marvin Wanitzek (4th) and Dzenis Burnic (31st) scored the gate for the KSC, which thus expanded his series of unbeaten games in the second division sprint to six. With 49 points in nine, the Badeners are in the midfield of the table.
For the Regensburg, which was already the bottom of the Regensburg, equalized in the last second division home game Rasim Bulic (17th) and Eric Hottmann (66th). The Jahn thus goes out of the season with a series of seven unbeaten home games, but occupies last place in the away table with only two points – a main reason for the direct relegation promotion of the pre -season.
“We showed a super reaction,” said Regensburg’s coach Mounier Raychouni after the game. “We have shown that we have the character of playing the season clean.” His counterpart Christian Eichner was annoyed: “We left two points lying down, we have to lead 3: 1 or 4: 1 for the break.”

Karlsruhes Wanitzek meets the first attack
With the first attack, the guest team of coach Christian Eichner took the lead 1-0. Bambasé Conté had the eye for the back pass on the left wing, which Wanitzek put in the goal with a tight direct acceptance from 16 meters on the right. Regensburg also aged under interim coach Munier Raychouni, who was installed for Andreas Patz during the week, and tried to get a conciliatory second division party from his own fans.
Murmel goal for Regensburg, Knallertor for Karlsruhe
But as in the entire season, the Jahn – only 21 goals – was offensive too harmless. So it also needed the help of the guests. KSC goalkeeper Raphael Weiß sailed under a corner ball, behind it two Regensburg jumped towards the ball. Defender Bulic moved in, but the ball crashed into 1-1 from his shoulder-the first second division goal for Bulic.
An overall average second division game developed, in which the KSC had the greater quality and the leadership got back. Burnic had too much space in the center and chased the ball from 22 meters unsustainable to 2-1 on the net. So it went into the break.
KSC controls the game, but the Jahn hits
In round two, the guests from Baden controlled the game over long stretches, but often played too cumbersome in the crucial situations, so that Regensburg remained in the game for a long time from the result and also had a good chance through a long -range shot of substituted Sargis Adamyan (63.).
The negligence finally took revenge for Karlsruhe. During a craftsman corner from the left, the KSC defensive Hottmann lost sight of the eyes and he headed on the short five-deck for 2-2 equalization. Suddenly more momentum came into play again. Both teams noticed that they wanted to take another three points with them. But nothing decisive happened.
Card confusion In added time
The game still had a bit of artificial drama in added time. After a stake by Karlsruhes Marcel Beifus against Ganaus, referee Weisbach initially decided on emergency brake and dismissal (90.+2nd). In the view of the video images, however, he took the decision back. Because the ball was too far away, it was not a thumbnail of a clear chance of scoring and Beifus was allowed to continue with a warning.
However, the hosts did not put the final free kick in the goal.
