The wealth of a country lies in the people. Without them, a country has no reason to exist and therefore, people have to be able to live well, to fully develop in the country where they live.
A citizen is an active member of a country. Being a citizen implies actively participating in the social, political and economic life of society. As citizens we can and must inform ourselves about what is happening around us, in order to contribute ideas, promote changes and express our opinions freely and respectfully. The role of a good citizen is to live with others and cooperate so that the goals of society become a reality.
This is why as citizens we must be aware of and grateful for what the country gives us. We must realize that the country is all of us and we do it together. The actions of each one influence the well-being or general malaise of our Nation. We must also be capable of assuming our responsibilities, complying with tax obligations, paying the taxes that help keep the country functioning, and we must comply with democratic obligations by responsibly electing the authorities that govern us.
We must, ultimately, trust Argentina and trust the Argentines.
As for a leader, he must have a vision. He must know how to anticipate events and have the ability to create. To be honest. Restless. Search for new answers and solutions. He must be flexible and have confidence in himself, in his ability to successfully carry out any task or mission. He must, in turn, inspire trust and be empathic. A leader is authentic, transparent, passionate and patient.
Of all the characteristics of a leader, perhaps being positive is one of the most essential. This, because by understanding the potential of positive psychology, the best way to implement learning in any situation that arises will be understood.
A leader must know how to delegate since he cannot do everything alone. Thinking this is somewhat unrealistic. Therefore, a good leader needs to leave alone and trust others so that teamwork is efficient.
The role of the leader has the task of inspiring and transmitting passion. He must establish strategies for a healthy and balanced life. A person who lives only to work will never give 100% of what he is capable of because he will lack enough energy. On the other hand, those who achieve a correct balance manage to increase their productivity to great levels. This is how a leader must ensure that her environment is capable of living a good balance between her work, personal or social life.
A leader must know how to appreciate the achievements and promote the professional and personal growth and development of his team, in order to increase work productivity. He must be able to encourage good habits.
Each and every one of us can be leaders and each and every one of us must assume our role as citizens, within society, starting with leading a healthy life that allows us to reach our greatest potential.
Our rulers and businessmen who bet on the country must be aware of their role as citizens to achieve a common good. The reality that Argentina is going through today urges us to seek a common good and for this we must seek points of contact that bring us closer to each other as a society. There is no longer a place for “the crack”. Either we all get ahead together, or no one gets out.
The business sector should form a liaison table and start reinvesting in our nation, creating genuine work. Our governments should begin to work together laying the foundations of fertile ground for this to materialize. The world reality is in our favor and if each and every one of us accepts the leadership role that corresponds to us, we will be able to take advantage of the world situation. There are no magic solutions nor can we expect “others” to solve our problems. It is we ourselves, each one of us, who have to seek that “common good” that allows us to fully develop.
A united nation and a committed society is the key to success.
