Reetta Hurske won gold in the EC hall’s high-speed hurdles

The final of the quick fences ended with a Finnish celebration.

Reetta Hurske bore the pressure of the pre-favorite and won real gold in the athletics EC halls in Turkey.

Hurske won the race with a time of 7.79. With it, he set aside the Finnish record in his own name.

The Netherlands took silver Nadine Visser, who clocked a time of 7.85. Switzerland, who ran 7.91, took the bronze Ditaji Kambudji.

Hurske, 27, is the second Finn who manages to win gold in the quick fences at the European Championships. Arto Bryggare ranked number one in 1981 and 1987.

The gold medal is Finland’s second at the European Championships in Turkey, because Wilma Murto won the pole competition organized on Saturday evening.
