Following their backcountry collaborations in 2020, Reebok and Japanese fashion label Mountain Research have teamed up again – this time with an urban focus. The result is a camouflaged version of the historic Reebok Alien Stomper honoring the classic film.
Reebok’s Alien Stomper was first released for the 1986 film and has since been released in collaborations with other streetwear and pop culture labels, each one carrying on the shoe’s “out-of-this-world” DNA.
“It’s a great honor to create and design Reebok’s classic Alien Stomper,” said Setsumasa Kobayashi, Founder of Mountain Research.
An avid fan of the model, Kobayashi and Mountain Research first experimented with the stomper in Summer 2020. The result was a completely white model in the label’s brand color.
This time, Mountain Research pays tribute to the Stomper’s theatrical roots while offering various adjustments, including the camouflaged all-black upper, a large tongue flap that’s a nod to the shoe’s original designer, and a removable ankle strap.
The Reebok x Mountain Research Alien Stomper is available for €180 from March 1st exclusively at Mountain Research and from March 15th at Reebok.de and at selected retailers.
