Red Star and Maccabi Haifa faced each other in the UEFA Champions League play-off round rematch. Israel representative Haifa left the field with a 2-2 draw with a goal he scored at the last minute and managed to get his name written in the groups.
Serbian team Red Star took the lead 2-0 with goals from Aleksandar Pesic in 27 and Mirko Ivanic in 43. Maccabi Haifa, who did not give up and made a great comeback, toured with goals from Daniel Sundgren in 45 and Milan Pavkov (kk) in 90.
Maccabi Haifa thus qualified to compete in the Giants League groups, while Red Star will continue on its way in the UEFA Europa League.
