The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced on Twitter that the band’s performance in Glasgow will be canceled today due to illness. Whoever is sick leaves the American group in the middle.

In a response, the Peppers say they are “deeply disappointed” that they cannot perform in Scotland. A replacement date is still being sought, ticket holders are advised not to get rid of their ticket. The band hopes to release an update soon.

After the performance in Glasgow, the Red Hot Chili Peppers would go to Belgium for a performance at Rock Werchter on Sunday. It is not yet known whether the group will also have to skip the festival because of the illness.
