In the Netherlands, the Red Cross has never played such a crucial role as it does now. Although many know us as an international emergency aid organization, we are increasingly forced to assist in our own country. Whether it is to deal with the crowds in Ter Apel or to ensure that children do not go to school on an empty stomach.
