LThe 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival opens under the banner of Made in Italy. On the inaugural red carpet of Wednesday 30 August at the Palazzo del Cinema on the Venice Lido, guests, actresses and well-known local faces parade: and their lookhand in hand, reflect the origins, with clothes in the name of know-how Italian.
With the stars blocked overseas due to the strike of American actors and actresses, the first fashion show on the red carpet is all about “our” protagonists.

The highlight of the red carpet on the first day of the Festival was the presentation of Liliana Cavani’s latest film, The Order of Time with the delivery of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, followed by Commander by Edoardo De Angelis.
Inaugural appointments which brought together personalities such as Claudia Gerini And Charlotte Ramplingup to the godmother of the Venice Film Festival 2023, Caterina Murino. And then the supermodels of the moment, like Bianca Balti, Toni Garrn And Mariacarla Bosconowho spiced up the opening red carpet with their personal style.
The Italian brands triumph. Starting with King Giorgio Armani

Opt for an Italian and “passionate” outfit, even the supermodel Mariacarla Bosconohyper sexy with the lingerie dress with front strings, Parisian stockings, boots, hood and sheer gloves by Dolce&Gabbana. The models, as often happens, stand out for their boldest and most brilliant choices: on the one hand Tony Garrn in a metallic column dress Albert Ferrettion the other Bianca Balti in a designer blue dress with a dizzying slit Herman Scervino.

Valentine for Valentina. And the androgynous elegance of Charlotte Rampling
Is elegance somewhere in between? The demonstration, the dress from the burgundy variant of Valentina Deer: long-sleeved and covered in sequins with fringes on the hems, from the collection Valentine Spring 2024 – one of the less shouted (and more successful?) choices of the first day. Following, last but not leastfrom the creation worn by Claudia Gerinia designer look Luisa Spagnolidistinguished by the velvet top with sweetheart neckline and sash at the waist that transforms into a train on the back.

Prominent, like his role in Edoardo Leo’s film, but without excesses. Honorable mention then for the winning duo of the evening: Charlotte Rampling And Liliana Cavani, the first on the red carpet at the opening of Venice 2023 in an androgynous and minimal look, the second in sneakers.
