The driver from Estonia (21) used the ‘n-word’ during an online stream, in which he was gaming. Red Bull says it strongly condemns such behavior and has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to racist language.
VIPs has been suspended with immediate effect and Red Bull is conducting an investigation. The young driver will compete in Formula 2 this year. He also drove the first free practice in Barcelona last month instead of Sergio Pérez, Max Verstappen’s teammate.
Vips has since apologized on Instagram and states that he is fully cooperating with the investigation.
